We take a responsible approach to the global procurement of our raw materials. Even though price can be a tempting factor, quality and sustainability are our top priority. When procuring our raw materials, we rely on personal relationships wherever possible, and can even trace the product right back to the field it was grown in, on request.
Our range includes more than 600 varieties of herbs and spices, whether conventional or organic, that we evaluate in line with the current official requirements for medicinal and food products. Our extensive warehouse means that there is no risk of supply issues, even for specialist seasonal products. We can offer our specialist retail customers prompt deliveries from our warehouse.
Every plant is different – and so too is every harvest. As a result, our products need to be processed with a focus on their individual requirements. The diversity of our production processes lives up to this requirement, with the combination of tried-and-trusted production machinery and extensive experience guaranteeing quality that remains as consistent as possible.
The key to good quality lies in farming and procurement. We have personal relationships with our suppliers that stretch back years, and, by extension, are able to have specialist items grown specifically for us.
For us, examining and analysing herbs and spices in line with the applicable specifications represents the core foundation that allows us to guarantee high quality for our customers.
Thanks to our extensive experience and a flexible machinery pool, our raw materials are subjected to gentle processing. An excess of stalks or foreign bodies can be sieved out, and we are renowned beyond Switzerland for our beautiful leaf cutting.
We use a range of different mills to grind the various raw materials: turbo mills, hammer mills, pin mills, roller mills, cracking mills or edge mills. We can cold-mill products containing a large amount of oil. Our mixing equipment enables us to efficiently mix 5 kg to 2,000 kg of finely cut ingredients and powders. To prevent fine particles from being created, coarsely cut herbs, such as for tea blends, are gently mixed by hand.
Turning up the pressure, in a good way: our high-performance pressurised CO2 fumigation equipment uses natural CO2 to remove pests and their eggs and can also be used on organic products. In addition, we can arrange for our raw materials to be sterilised by external partners.
We also use our verified and processed raw materials to create food-supplement granules, tablets and pills based on your formula for orders of 100,000 or more, and, on request, package them so they are ready for sale.
Our vast warehouse means we can guarantee timely deliveries, even for specialist seasonal products.
